A study conduted by seven students from Utrecht University confirms the large potential for solar panels installations in the district of Borneoeiland.
The district benefits from its large area of flat roofs. The figure below shows in green the surface optimal for photovoltaic installations:
The results obtained suggest that Borneo-eiland could be self-sufficient (all-year round considered) if it developed its full solar potential.
